You surely know Marisa Miller from her fine work in the Victoria's Secret catalogs and stacks of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues (especially her 2008 appearance). However, this California native proved her star power in 2007 when she made her debut as a prestigious Angel in the Victoria's Secret fashions show. She also won the coveted No. 1 spot on Maxim's 2008 Hot 100 list.

Bringing their brand to the islands, Marisa Miller was recently on-hand for the grand opening of Hawaii’s first ever Victoria’s Secret store at Ala Moana Center in Honolulu.

The sexy super model joined Mayor Kirk Caldwell in speaking to a crowd of shoppers and press before signing autographs for those in attendance.

Heading back to the States following her Hawaiian duties, Miss Marisa Miller paid a visit to Aptos High School (which she attended her Freshman year) on Friday ahead of the 15th annual Monte Foundation Musicfest and Firework Extravaganza.

“It was crazy, but it was cool to see the school; there have been a lot of good changes,” fashions model Marisa told press. “It’s great to see other artists take their time to come out. You could see that everyone is so pumped to see the full performances.”

Fashions Models Elle MacPherson Casting Reviews

It’s not such a “Beautiful Life” right now for supermodel Elle MacPherson. It seemed like a no-brainer casting Elle as “Claudia,” an aging-model-turned-owner of the fictitious Focus Models Agency. But now the show’s producers are worried. Why? Because while Elle looks the part, she lacks acting chops. So much so that the show’s producers, including Ashton Kutcher, are supposedly scrambling to hire acting coaches to work with her and a few other models who aren’t nailing their parts. And they don’t have long to mess around—the show’s premiere is on September 16. Oddly enough, the one person producers don’t have to worry about, according to the Daily News, is Mischa Barton. Even fresh from her mega meltdown, the show’s execs are thrilled with her performance when compared to the others.

We’ll have to wait until next month to see if Elle can learn to act like a model. The results will no doubt be hilarious. Until then, here are some clips of other models who should leave their acting dreams on the runway.
